Drone-Mapper is a real-time drone detection and mapping solution for campuses, critical infrastructure, event centers, drone enthusiasts, secure facilities, and anywhere aerial drone awareness is desired.

How Does It Work? (30,000 foot view)
Drone-Mapper utilizes a combination of 900MHz LoRa mesh and 2.4Ghz WiFi/ Bluetooth radios to form the Remote ID drone detection network. It uses a distributed array of these detector nodes that listen for FAA-mandated Remote ID broadcasts from drones in the 2.4Ghz band. The detectors then relay the data through the LoRa mesh network to a Drone-Mapper server and display live data on an intuitive web-based map.
Regardless of your application, this system provides immediate situational awareness of all drones operating in your area by monitoring the FAA mandated RemoteID signals broadcast from each drone.

How It Works (1,000 foot level)
1. Remote Detector Nodes
Compact, solar or USB C powered units (using Heltec ESP32 + XIAO boards + custom software) are placed as high as possible in the desired area to be monitored. These nodes passively listen for drone Remote ID signals and relay the information through an encrypted LoRa mesh network.
2. Drone-Mapper Gateway
One central gateway (using Heltec ESP32 + XIAO boards + custom software), connected to a windows based computer via USB C, collects data from all remote nodes and publishes it to the Drone-Mapper application.
3. Drone-Mapper Software
Our custom software runs on a user supplied windows computer and processes the incoming data in real time.
4. Live Interface
Users access a clean, responsive map, right on their PC! Options to have Drone-Mapper.com host a web server for your system is available. This gives you a custom website like myorganization.drone-mapper.com that you can view your Drone-Mapper application from anywhere with an internet connection. This also allows you to access your map on multiple devices at once, and on mobile devices.
