Your map. Your data. Accessible from anywhere.
Drone-Mapper Remote Access lets you view your live operations map from any device, anywhere — at your own secure address:
yourorganization.drone-mapper.com
Detection still happens locally on your hardware. Drone-Mapper still runs on your Windows or Mac command computer. Remote Access simply provides a secure, managed tunnel so authorized users can open that live session in a browser — on a phone in the field, a supervisor at another site, dispatch, or multiple workstations at once.
This is an optional subscription add-on. It requires an existing Drone-Mapper system (Home Node + Local License). It does not replace your software license or hardware.
How It Works
- You run Drone-Mapper on your command PC as usual, with your Home Node connected via USB.
- We provision your personal subdomain — e.g. acmecampus.drone-mapper.com — and provide a secure tunnel credential.
- You enter your credentials in Drone-Mapper Settings and start the tunnel (guided setup in the app).
- Authorized users open yourorganization.drone-mapper.com from any browser, on any network, and see your live map — same interface, same real-time updates.
Your detection data does not move to our servers. The application runs on your machine. We provide the secure path from the internet to your local instance.
What’s Included
- Custom subdomain — yourorganization.drone-mapper.com (provisioned after signup)
- Managed secure tunnel — encrypted reverse proxy; no port forwarding or router configuration on your end
- HTTPS / SSL — secure browser access by default
- Multi-device access — phones, tablets, laptops, and remote workstations simultaneously
- Live session viewing — real-time map, drone positions, pilot locations, node status, timeline, and classifications (same as your local session)
- Setup support — assistance getting your subdomain and tunnel configured during onboarding
What Remote Access Is — and Is Not
| Remote Access | Local License (included with kit) | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs on your PC | Yes — tunnels to your local instance | Yes |
| View from anywhere | Yes — yourorg.drone-mapper.com | No |
| Multi-device / mobile | Yes | No- Map visible only on the computer running Drone-Mapper software, connected to Home Node. |
| Custom subdomain | Included | — |
| Detection & logging | On your local PC | On your local PC |
| Billing | Monthly or annual subscription | One-time purchase with kit |
Remote Access is not:
- A replacement for your Drone-Mapper Local License
- Cloud-hosted detection — your Home Node and command PC must remain on and connected
- A 24/7 uptime guarantee for your local hardware or internet connection
Who Needs Remote Access?
- Security supervisors monitoring from an office while field officers operate on site
- Dispatch centers viewing the live map alongside other systems
- Multi-site organizations where leadership needs visibility without sitting at the command laptop
- Mobile operations — check the map from a phone or tablet in the field
- Incident command — share live situational awareness with authorized personnel during an event
Teams that only operate from a single command laptop on site may not need Remote Access. Teams with supervisors, dispatch, or mobile staff often consider it essential.

|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $49/month | Evaluating remote viewing, seasonal operations, or short-term events |
| Annual | $490/year (save ~$98 vs. monthly) | Year-round campus, facility, or security operations |

Important Notes
- Remote viewing requires your command PC to be on, Drone-Mapper running, Home Node connected, and the tunnel active.
- If your command PC sleeps, loses internet, or Drone-Mapper is closed, remote access is unavailable until restored.
- Subdomain names are assigned at activation (e.g. your organization name). Custom naming subject to availability.
- Remote Access provides the secure tunnel and subdomain only — detection, logging, and data storage remain on your local system.
- Authorized access uses your existing Drone-Mapper login credentials. Change default passwords before operational use.
